El Paso has always been a city of culture, resilience, and imagination. Now, we're inviting artists, musicians, technologists, and dreamers to explore the future through the lens of artificial intelligence. This contest challenges you to blend creativity, tradition, and cutting-edge technology to reimagine the Borderland of tomorrow.

Submissions will be judged on creativeness, complexity, and the thoughtfulness behind the meaning of the design.
There will be three divisions: High School, College, and Professional.
Winners will be featured in Viva AI Paso, promoted across social platforms, and recognized as the First AI Art Winners in the Borderland.

Category 1: Downtown Redesign 2100
Challenge Type: Image / Poster Design
Imagine the year 2100: Your downtown is glowing as a hub of innovation, the Star on Mountain powering new forms of energy, transportation from Las Cruces to El Paso from ground to air. It's your city, now redesign it.
Your Task:
  • Create an AI-generated poster (16:9, full-color) showing a futuristic vision of your downtown in the year 2100.
  • Use AI image generators, collage, or remix techniques
  • Suggested free/freemium tools: Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, Playground AI, NightCafe, Bing Image Creator, Fotor, Gamma

Judging criteria: Creativeness, visual complexity, and symbolic meaning.
Category 2: From Mariachi to Machine
Challenge Type: AI Music + Album Cover
Mariachi is El Paso's timeless cultural heartbeat — rich in history and storytelling. But what happens when tradition collides with the machine? Imagine Mariachi fused with rap, rock, EDM, or futuristic sounds. What if you built a virtual AI artist that could go platinum?

Category 3: Combat Futuro — The Future of Fighting
Challenge Type: AI Video Commercial
El Paso's own Combat Fighting Championship (CFC) Show at Speaking Rock is setting the Borderland on fire with sold-out events and an upcoming mega-card on October 18. Now, it's your turn to promote the future of the combat fighting sport.

Tell Your Story
